LOVE LETTERS THAT I NEVER SENT

You Got It feat. Drey Armani

In August 2016, I arrived in Paris, France. As I sat in my room within the Melon District, now known as The Student Hotel, I purchased the first instrumental for what would become Love Letters That I Never Sent. That instrumental was for You Got It. It was the first beat that I had ever purchased, and got me started on my journey of understanding the music business. As time passed, I would write and rewrite lyrics to find the perfect verse and chorus, developing my skill as a writer and vocalist all the while. More time passed, and I came to the conclusion that I wanted a feature for the song. That conclusion led me to reach out to Drey Armani, a prominent RnB artist from Maine, and I’m very proud of the work that we did.

Come Thru

Come Thru was the first song that was completed for the project. I had discovered Glace Azuka and his music sometime in 2015, and since that time have continued to be a fan of his art. After hearing the beat on his website, I had the intuitive feeling that I had to purchase it and make a song with it. It is the first of many collaborations that I will have with Glace.

Let Me Know

With Let Me Know, the process started with me loading up Logic Pro X to create a beat. With no preconceived idea, I delved through the different sounds and began to form the music track by track. In a similar fashion, the lyrics came to me line by line as I recalled past experiences and feelings, deliberating on how best to articulate what I was trying to say to my muse.

Solo / Summer Months

While I was living and studying in Paris, I came across GHXST, an incredibly talented producer and artist. After finding out that he was from Maine as well, I knew that I had to work with him. Over time, we were able to communicate further, and one of the results of our collaborations is Solo / Summer Months.
